This route connects Yellowstone National Park on the TransAmerica Trail to Minneapolis on the Northern Tier Route through the mountain and prairie landscapes of Wyoming, South Dakota, and Minnesota, offering a scenic “middle-tier” option passing by Devils Tower National Monument, Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, the Black Hills, Badlands National Park, and rolling Minnesota river plains.
