Take a deep breath, unwind, and spend a carefree week pedaling across the state of Missouri, soaking up all the indulgences that the gracefully meandering Katy Trail has to offer. Utilizing one of the nation’s premier rail-to-trail conversion projects, this 225-mile bicycle tour will take us to and through an incredible assortment of landscapes including thick forests, marshlands, towering bluffs, wide-open pastures, and gently rolling farm fields. The majority of the trail follows Lewis and Clark’s route up the Missouri River, and as we wend our way along the crushed limestone path, we’ll have plenty of time to ogle the multitude of wildlife we’re likely to encounter. We’ll also visit some of the delightful communities nearby and soak up a healthy dose of Americana. Our daily riding distances are moderate and the path is virtually flat. Add to the mix mouth-watering catered food, full luggage support, great campsites, and not a car in sight, and you have one fantastic trip. So break out your most comfortable bike, pack up your camera and binoculars, and join us on this brand new relaxed ride through some of the most scenic portions of Missouri, sans traffic!
