What could be finer than late-summer cycling in the verdant mountains and lush river valleys of Vermont? On this fully-supported trip, we’ll follow our recently introduced Green Mountains Loop, which takes in the scenic region of Vermont known as the Northeast Kingdom.
We’ll base our trip in Burlington, one of this nation’s most vibrant small cities, host to the University of Vermont, and nestled between the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks on the shores of gorgeous Lake Champlain. But, that’s only a small part of the wondrous country that we’ll experience while rolling past lakes and streams, farms and fields, as well as some darn fine hills and mountains. We’ll pay visits to some of the state’s most picturesque towns, including Middlebury, St. Johnsbury, and Peacham, which has been featured in Vermont Life magazine more than any other local municipality. We’ll also enjoy some nice campgrounds in some great state parks along the way.
True to the Vermont spirit of “small is beautiful,” on this trip we’ll limit our participant numbers — there’ll be few enough to keep it intimate, but enough to ensure that everyone will make some new friends and riding partners.
