Over the years we’ve been asked numerous times, “Why not offer a cross-country bike tour for serious cyclists who’d rather not haul their own equipment?” In 2008 we answered the call by offering our first-ever supported TransAm camping trip. It was met with such great success that we also ran it in 2009 and are offering it again in 2010. So, here’s your opportunity to cover the 4,253-mile TransAmerica Bicycle Trail while going light and carefree!
What will the journey be like? While you pedal your bike each day, your camping gear and other equipment will be hauled from campsite to campsite in the Adventure Cycling van. The day is yours to enjoy; we’ll see you again at camp or at the appointed indoor accommodation. Still, this is a group experience — and that includes the cooking, which will be done by participants on a rotational basis.
