This weeklong tour in the glorious red-rock country of southern Utah offers an irresistible combination for the self-contained bike traveler who prefers sleeping in a bed to tenting it. The design is based on the light-touring concept used by Adventure Cycling nearly two decades ago — with nightly stopovers at inns and hotels.
The Red Rock Ramble features spectacular scenery, including the otherworldly shapes and shades of Zion National Park, the ghostly hoodoos carved out of the colorful Paunsaugunt Plateau in Bryce Canyon National Park, the Technicolor climbs of Cedar Breaks National Monument, and the awe-inspiring vistas of one of the country’s newest national monuments, Grand Staircase-Escalante. We’ll leave plenty of time to explore each of these geologic gems, both on and off the bike. Our small group of no more than 14 participants will enjoy restaurant meals, warm beds, and private showers at the end of each day, plus the excellent service of our two expert guides.
Come along for an adventure that blends the independence of self-contained touring with light loads and the comfort of indoor accommodations — all amidst some of the Southwest’s most magnificent landscapes.
