The Underground Railroad Route, from Mobile, AL, to northeastern Ohio, formed the last leg of a longer journey, the Satre Tandem Adventure 2008, from California back to our home in Youngstown, OH. (Ellen Satre, May, 2008)


ANNE'S 2ND GREAT BICYCLE ADVENTURE FOR HOSPICE
I will ride the URR in May of 2008 to raise money for the Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, TN. The group was organized by WomanTours, the same company who organized my Southern Tier Trip last year. (Anne Cowan, May, 2008)


BICYCLING THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD
My husband, Ilkka Suvanto, and I took our tandem pulling a BOB trailer in the Spring of 2008 and followed the Drinking Gourd as it pointed northward from Alabama to Canada. We love cycling and history, and this challenging route rewarded us on both counts. (Joan Laxson, Apr, 2008)


JOAN & MIKE'S BICYCLE ADVENTURE (UGRR)
We followed the Adventure Cycling published Underground Railroad bike route. We went from Mobile to Cincinnati, took 10 days off there at home, then completed the route to Owen Sound. Also did a side trip to see family in Oliphant, Ontario at the end. (Mike Weingarten, May, 2007)

April 19 completed the total ride in 30 days NB on tandem with my wife Rhoda, age 64 with support vehicle. Great ride! Had to deal with many over protective dogs southern section. The river hills very challenging. Be prepared for detours in N. section. (Ed Longenecker, Apr, 2007)
