So now that you are hooked on the idea of youth bicycle adventures, we've got some specific ways for you to help us inspire kids to ride their bikes. Together, we can help kids grow mentally, physically, and emotionally through exploring the world by bicycle.
PLAN AN ADVENTURE
First, you can help to organize a youth trip. Get a print version of the Guide or download the Guide, then grab some friends and go! Or even better, if you want a real-life training by professionals in the field, sign up for the Pedal Pioneers Training. And don't forget about our great maps and The Cyclists' Yellow Pages as valuable resources.
SHARE THE BEAUTY
You can also help us to spread the word on bicycle travel to your friends and neighbors.
Health, education, service, bicycle, and youth organizations are all great partners for getting kids on bikes. By placing a Pedal Pioneers icon on your website, you can give folks the opportunity to get involved with youth bicycle travel. You can also share information about Pedal Pioneers through your newsletter or listserve. Or, print out a Pedal Pioneers brochure and share it with a friend. Contact
for more information.
TALK ABOUT IT
Got questions? How about answers? We invite you to share your experience on our Register Your Ride web page. This is a great place to review other adventure cyclists' experiences with youth bicycle trips.
JOIN ADVENTURE CYCLING ASSOCIATION
Or share a membership with a friend – young or old! One of the best ways to get excited about bicycle travel is through the pages of Adventure Cyclist, our 9-times-a-year magazine. Loaded with photos and articles, it's an outstanding resource for any bicyclist. If you're already receiving Adventure Cyclist, you can join our Adopt-a-Library Program.
SPREAD THE WORD
Give the gift of Pedal Pioneers Guide to a local school, youth group (like YMCA, scouts, boys and girls clubs), or your library. This way, you can give others the tools to get kids out on the trail. Share one today.
This project was made possible with the support of The Henry Family Foundation and Adventure Cycling Association members.
