To travel by bicycle is
a humble, nonagressive
way to get close to people.
It is a way of saying we
are passing through with
no thought of invasion or
conquest, only the simple
will to share a part
of the road.
- Claude Herve

Become an Ambassador for Bike Travel

Become an ambassador for Adventure Cycling and communicate your passion for bicycle travel by giving a presentation to people in your community.

You can present to people already involved in cycling, such as a mountain bike club, or to an alternative, perhaps mixed-interest audience, such as people in your workplace. Either way, there is so much to share about bicycle travel that you will surely be able to pique the interest of the novice or introduce new information to the most avid cyclist in the crowd.

Here's how it works:

  1. You set up a presentation.
  2. Then you with the details of the presentation. We need the following information from you:
    • Date of presentation
    • Demographic of the group (bike club, local service organization, etc.)
    • Type of presentation (ride, training, slideshow of trip, etc)
    • How many people you expect to attend
  3. We mail you materials, including a Powerpoint presentation, fact sheets, sample materials for you to hand out -- such as magazines and general brochures, Adventure Cycling tube stickers, some free memberships to give away to participants, a sign-in sheet, etc.
  4. You give a stellar presentation.
  5. You mail back the sign-in sheet, and we will send the materials that each individual requested.

Our Ambassador Program is designed to give people a lot of freedom to talk about bicycle travel in whatever way suits them best, using the core materials that we provide as a supplement to their presentation.

Your options are endless: You can talk about your experience on a tour, bike overnights, do a hands-on tutorial, or talk about the history of Adventure Cycling Association.

Thank you for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
